With active, externally-funded research projects in 67 countries, 92 study abroad programs that 78% of our undergraduates participate in, an ever-growing international student population and global alumni base, and a global network of 12 intellectual sites in 10 countries, Notre Dame’s presence in and impact on the wider world has never been greater.

Yet these numbers tell only one part of a larger and more compelling story. The University’s strategic framework and Notre Dame Global’s strategic plan continue to guide us in fostering integrative research, designing creative curricula that develop global competencies and cultural understanding, and increasing collaboration that forges meaningful partnerships. All of these things benefit not just the individual students and scholars working globally, but our entire community. In all that we do, we continually seek to fulfill our goal of having Notre Dame become “the leading global Catholic research university, on par with but distinct from the world’s best private universities,” as outlined by Charles and Jill Fischer Provost John T. McGreevy.

As the place where Notre Dame meets the world and the world meets Notre Dame, we encourage you to imagine what role you as a student, faculty member, administrator, alum, or friend of the University can play in helping us fulfill Notre Dame’s global aspirations.
